Raiding

Schedule

Team 2
Tuesday & Thursday
20:00 – 23:00 server time (CET)
Raid leader: Nava

Two raids a week per team, three hours each. Raid-Helper events in Discord show the time in your own timezone. Sign up by the deadline, two hours before pull.

What we expect

  • Signed up in Raid-Helper by the deadline. Cancel as soon as you know, not ten minutes before.
  • At the instance ten minutes before pull with consumables for the full night.
  • Know the fights before you walk in. Nobody explains a boss twice.
  • Deadly Boss Mods, Details, and the loot addon installed and working.
  • Working microphone, push-to-talk or a noise gate.
  • Stay for the full raid time. Attendance under 75% over four weeks means bench priority.

Loot

Loot, the short version

  1. 20-player raids: contested items go to a loot council. Everything else is main spec over off spec, /roll 100.
  2. 10-player raids and dungeons: soft-reserve one item in the Raid-Helper event, then MS > OS rolls.
  3. One main-spec win per raid night. Win one, you roll off-spec priority for the rest of that night.
  4. Trials (new faces only) roll like everyone else but are not eligible for council items until they have attended two full raids.
  5. Every council decision is written down with a one-line reason: the loot log (link in Discord)
  6. Loot never crosses teams. Your history does.

What the council decides

The council handles items that a whole team competes for, where a roll would be a bad way to build a raid:

  • Tier set pieces
  • Weapons and off-hands
  • Trinkets
  • Legendary and quest-chain items (bindings, eyes, heads, anything with a chain)
  • Any item the raid leader flags as “council” before the pull

Everything not on that list is rolled.

Council members: the team’s Raid Leader plus two loot officers. Where possible the three are different classes. If a council member is a candidate for the item, they sit out that decision and the Guild Master or another officer steps in.

Time limit: two minutes per item. If the council cannot agree in two minutes, the item is rolled MS > OS among the candidates.

How the council decides

In this order. A later point only matters if the earlier ones are close.

  1. Upgrade size. How much better is it than what you have, for the role you play on this team? A best-in-slot for one player beats a sidegrade for three.
  2. Attendance, last four weeks, from Raid-Helper.
  3. Preparation and performance. Consumables, knowing the fights, logs. Not “top DPS”, but “shows up ready”.
  4. How recently you got a council item. Two people tied on the above, the one who got council loot longer ago wins.
  5. Raider before Trial.

Not a factor: rank beyond Raider/Trial, how loud you are, being an officer, being friends with the council.

Loot log. Within 24 hours of the raid, every council item is in the sheet: item, who got it, who else was considered, one line of why. If you cannot explain a decision in one line, it was the wrong decision.

Rolls

For everything the council does not handle:

  1. Loot master links the item. Main spec for your team role rolls first, /roll 100.
  2. No main-spec rolls? Off spec rolls.
  3. No off-spec rolls? Disenchant or guild bank.
  4. One main-spec win per night. After you win, you roll with off-spec priority for the rest of that raid.
  5. Off-spec wins do not count against your main-spec win.
  6. Ties: re-roll between the tied players.

“Main spec” is the spec you are rostered for on this team. A healer rolling on a DPS weapon is off spec, even if they love it.

Special cases

  • BoE items: if someone needs it main spec, roll as usual. Nobody needs it? Guild bank. It gets sold and the gold buys raid consumables.
  • Recipes and patterns: go to a guild crafter, chosen by the council, who then crafts for guildies at mat cost. No exceptions to the “crafts for guildies” part.
  • Legendary components: guild first. The council picks the recipient at the start of the chain, publicly, so every drop after that has a known home. That person stays with the guild through the chain or the pieces go back.
  • Pugs: roll on non-council items after all guild main-spec rolls. Never on council items. Tell them before the first pull.
  • Alts: do not raid in 20-player raids. In 10-player raids and dungeons, alts roll after mains.
  • Hard-reserved items: none, except legendary components as above. The raid leader cannot reserve an item for themselves.

Attendance, bench, and switching teams

  • Attendance is what Raid-Helper says: signed up and present at first pull and stayed until the end.
  • Below 75% over the last four weeks moves you to bench priority. Someone who shows gets your seat until your attendance is back.
  • Bench players who are online and available for the full raid get attendance credit for that night.
  • Switching teams is a raid-leader decision, both teams. Your loot history and attendance come with you.
  • Leaving the guild within two weeks of receiving a council item is, well, noticed. We cannot stop you. We can tell the next guild.

Disagreements

  • Something feels wrong? DM a loot officer within 24 hours, in private. Not in raid chat, not in voice, not in #raid-chat.
  • The council answers in writing within 48 hours. If the decision was wrong, it says so in the log. Items are not taken back; the next comparable item goes to you.
  • Three people raising the same concern gets the rule itself reviewed by the officers, not just the decision.
  • Public arguments about loot are a conduct issue, not a loot issue. See #welcome.

Addons everyone needs

  • RCLootCouncil — how the council votes and how loot gets distributed. Raiders install it too, it is how you tell the council what you have equipped.
  • Deadly Boss Mods (or BigWigs)
  • Details! — for your own logs and for the raid leader’s

Logs are uploaded to Warcraft Logs after every raid and linked in #logs.
